Nordelle Angeline (Sanning) Lueckenhoff, 90, of Jefferson City, passed away peacefully, Friday, March 22, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born November 25, 1933, in Mary’s Home, Missouri, the daughter of Clem and Frances (Kempker) Sanning.

She was a graduate of Cole County R-5 High School in Eugene, Missouri.

She was united in marriage on May 24, 1952, at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Mary’s Home to Alfred John Lueckenhoff who survives at the home.

From assuming the roles of room mother and den mother to tending to her bountiful garden, she excelled in all her endeavors. Her hands were skilled in crocheting and sewing, such as Barbie clothes, designing special clothing for her children, and elegant square-dancing attire. Known for her impeccable taste, she found joy in decorating her home and exploring garage sales for treasures.

Her faith was a cornerstone of her life as a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Alongside Alfred, she served as a Eucharistic minister and actively participated in the Immaculata Card Club. The couple's shared passions extended to the Capital City Squares, where they held leadership positions and also loved round dancing. Additionally, they enjoyed adventures with the Capital City Wings RV Club. During election seasons, Nordelle dutifully fulfilled her civic duty as a poll worker.

  2. Dave and Elizabeth Sanning has purchased Tranquil White Lillies Basket for Nordelle Lueckenhoff

  3. Aflred, Danny and the Lueckenhoff family I am sorry for your loss. Nordelle was a wonderful person with many talents. On one of the overnights in elementary school for Danny’s birthday I experienced waffles with ice cream for the first time. I think of Nordelle whenever I have them to this day. For my wedding she framed and adorned the wedding invitation which, is still on display in my home. She was certainly special and will be missed.
