Patricia Lee Jones

March 21, 1964 ~ October 23, 2022
Patricia Lee Jones, 58, of Jefferson City, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022, at Jefferson City Nursing and Rehab.
She was born March 21, 1964, in Jefferson City, the daughter of Richard Lee and Glenna Lou (Huffman) Jones.
She was a 1982 graduate of Jefferson City High School.
Patty had a great love for children and had intended to work in and eventually own a daycare after graduating from high school. Unfortunately, Patty was the victim of a drunk driving accident shortly after she turned eighteen. Partially paralyzed and head injured, Patty impressed and inspired her family and friends with her resilience. While Patty had to abandon her initial dream of working with children, she still showered nieces, nephews, and neighbor children with attention and love.
Despite her numerous physical and mental challenges, Patty learned to drive again and worked parttime for the State of Missouri for twenty years, retiring in 2014.
Patty enjoyed watching movies and her favorite TV series, listening to music (particularly the Blues), shopping and socializing. She loved being with friends, especially her best friend, Suzie Baumhoer, and her family! Nothing made her happier than sassy banter with her many beloved uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Survivors include her parents; two sisters, Suzanne Luther, and Ladonna Jones, both of Jefferson City; and four nieces and nephews, Emma (Chris) Hintch, Liberty; Graham Deutsch, Columbia; Adrienne Luther, Columbia; and James Luther, Jefferson City.
Visitation will be 2-4:00 p.m., Friday, November 4, 2022, at Trimble Funeral Homes, Jefferson City.
Memorials are suggested to Building Community Bridges or to The Food Bank of Central and Northeast Missouri.

Glenna, Suzanne, Ladonna, and Dick: This is horrible news. Please accept my deepest condolences for your family’s loss. Patti was delight to know and a blessing to our world.
I’m blessed to have known and worked with Patty for many years. To know her is to love her. Rest in peace my beautiful friend.
Patty was always a ray of sunshine! I’m so sorry for your pain, I know you will miss that beautiful smile. 🙏❤️
Glenna and family, you have my deepest sympathy. I have so many memories of Patty! She was strong, determined and a blessing. There was one thing we didn’t quite see eye to eye on so we decided to agree we could disagree and still love one another. She taught me many things and anytime I could help her with a process it was a privilege. I am a better person for knowing her and you. You are in my thoughts and prayers! Much love to all!
So sorry for your loss. Patty’s strength and determination was an inspiration for all who knew her. Mark and Jeannine Toomey
