PAUL FRANCIS BRONDEL, 77, of Wardsville, died Tuesday, May 25, 2004, at his residence. He was born on October 16, 1926, in St. Martins, MO, the son of Frank Leo and Augusta Catherine Schenewerk Brondel. He was married on November 5, 1949, in Taos, MO, to Agnes Marie Bernskoetter who survives at the home. Other survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Sandy and Buzz Hopkins, Jefferson City; Cindy and Jeff Arch, Pacifica, CA; and Loyce and Kevin Rushen, Springfield, MO; five grandchildren, Seth Hopkins, Madeline Hopkins, Blair Hopkins, Sam Rushen, and Jack Rushen; two great-grandchildren, Wyatt Hopkins and Tess Hopkins; two brothers, Raymond Brondel, Jefferson City; and Tom Brondel, Fulton, MO; and three sisters, Helen Eggen Kauffman, Jefferson City; and Alma Boeckman and Lorene Boeckman, both of St. Martins. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Irma Stegemann and Alice Eggen. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 28, 2004, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Wardsville, with the Rev. Gregory L. Meystrik officiating. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Wardsville. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, May 27, 2004, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, 3210 N. Ten Mile Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65109, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to St. Stanislaus Education Fund, 6414 Route W, Jefferson City, MO 65101; or to a charity of the donors choice. Mr. Brondel retired in 1988 as a supervisor with the Missouri Department of Corrections where he had been employed for twenty-two years. He served with the United States Army from 1946 to 1947 and was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Wardsville.
