Pauline Elizabeth Rost

She was born September 4, 1931, in Jefferson City, the daughter of Joseph Anton and Caroline Mary (Lehman) Hadwick.
Pauline was a 1949 graduate of St. Peter High School.
She was united in marriage on September 5, 1964, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Jefferson City to Charles Louis Rost who preceded her in death on December 16, 2004.
Pauline worked for thirty-seven years as a secretary and later as a supervisor at the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Immaculta Club, Daughters of Isabella, National Secretary's Association, Jefferson City Historic Association, SSM Health Center Auxiliary, Mother Seton Widow's Group, and Georgetown Dinner Group. Pauline and Charlie were proud to be charter members of Meadow Lake Acres Country Club.
Pauline was an avid golfer and proud to have played with various bridge clubs for over 65 years. She loved family gatherings and insisted on hosting every Thanksgiving and Easter holidays at her home. She enjoyed watching sports on TV and talking politics.
Survivors include her brother, Clarence Joseph Hadwick, Jefferson City; nieces and nephews, Janet (Mitchell) Ruth, John Wallau, Mary Helen (Brian) Hurley, Anne (Douglas) Bozarth, Larry (Pat) Rost, Peter (Paula) Rost, Joan Rost, Thomas (Jacqueline) Rost, Carol Zeman, Barbara (Jim) Vossen, Margaret (Dave Johnson) Rost, Paul (Kathi) Rost; and many great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles; a young sister, Genevieve Magdalena Hadwick; a brother, Carl John (a.k.a. Bro Kenelm Dominic, F.S.C.) Hadwick; a sister-in-law, Rita Ann Hadwick; and nephews, David Hadwick, James Wallau, Fred Rost, Jr. and Vincent Rost.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, September 23, 2019, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Donald J. Antweiler officiating.
Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

I remember all the wonderful Thanksgivings spent with Aunt Pauline and Uncle Charles on Dixon Drive. They were wonderful hosts. Aunt Pauline was so soft spoken but always warm and welcoming. She was a great and gracious lady and will be greatly missed! Love to all – Paul and Kathi Rost
