Dear Seeney Family,
I am sorry to read of your loss. God tells us in his word the Bible hope that we can look forward to in the future. At John 6:40 it says “For this is the will of my Father, that everyone that beholds the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him at the last day.” Through this scripture we read that God wants us to live forever. What about our loved ones who have passed? Jesus will resurrect them. This means he will raise them up and then we will be reunited with them. I hope this thought helps you cope. Remember to look to Jehovah God and he will help you.

My heart is saddened at the great loss of Philip. I will never forget the many days he spent at my home with my son David during high school. He always had a big smile and was full of laughter. Phil was like a son to me and my late husband. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
It is with my deepest heartfelt sympathy to the Seeney family of the loss of your son and brother,Phillip. Phil was like my other “little brother”. He had a wonderful memorable smile and a heart of pure gold! He missed his calling as a comedian, as he always kept you laughing and smiling, if he was in your presence.
I will never forget Phil…It was Phil who drove me home from college, where we attended together, when my father suddenly passed away. I couldn’t have made it back home alone. Phil was there, drove me home, and walked me through the long halls of the hospital. I will never forget that and always thanked Phil when I thought of it.
He, and my brother David, came to visit my family last
summer in Atlanta. I had no idea that would be the last time I would see him. My heart is truly saddened. He was “Uncle Phil” to my sons. Forever loved, forever missed….My little brother
Phillip. May God send comfort and gently wrap his arms around you all. You will continue to be in my prayers.

Barbara, Chuck, Ann, and James,
It is with our deepest sympathy
that we are praying for your family at this sad time. I remember when
Phillip was an elementary student at DeVaney, where Barbara and I taught
across the hall from each other in Terre Haute, IN. The boys and Annie
were always so well-behaved as they waited for their mom to complete the
day’s work. We pray that God’s love is comforting you during this
difficult time and that your sorrow might be eased by the passing of
time. May your tomorrows be brightened by your fondest memories of
Phillip. Memories are treasures that time cannot destroy, They are the
happy pathways to yesterday’s bright joy. We are hoping that you realize
warm thoughts are with you now, and may knowing that others deeply care
help give you some comfort. Please accept with our deepest sympathy, the
heartfelt thought that there is hope in each new tomorrow.
Love, Gary, Helen, Brianna, and Gary Michael Joseph

To the Seeney Family: Read the obituary in the Terre Haute newspaper this morning. Please accept my deepest sympathy and I hope it helps knowing that others care and are praying for all of you. This is a very difficult time. The DeVaney teachers still meet every other month at the Olive Gardens. I wanted to call the funeral home this morning but my Internet was down so I could not get the phone number of the funeral home. I have mailed a card to the funeral home and hope they will forward it to you. When you can find the strength and time please email me. (ita24@frontier.com) . We talk about you and your family from time to time, and somehow we have lost track of where you were. De Vaney was a loving family, and we still hang onto those precious memories. Sincerely,
Ruth Itamura

Mr. & Mrs. Seeney, Michael, Ann: My deepest sympathy and condolences on Phillip’s Passing. I am very sorry for your loss. Even though it has been many years sense we were together. I have great memories of the times we had growing up.
So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:16 – 18
Although I was sadden to hear of your loss, I know you will continue to cherish the time and moments spent with Philip and his friends. He touched many lives with his humor and integrity… but what I think we will remember most is his big heart for people! He would try to make things right even when some people wronged him. Barbara, from the stories you’ve shared with me over the years about Philip… the moral of some of those stories concluded how Philip had a relationship with God. I love you all! ~ Veronica Jones

I was a close friend in the early 90’s and lost touch, although I’ve looked for him over the years. If anyone would contact me with info about what he’d been up to over the past 15 -20 years I’d appreciate it.
Although it’s been many years, Philip and I were the very best of friends. We shared many good times. I’m so sorry he’s not here with us anymore. He will be dearly missed.
