Raymond Edward Veltrop, 23, of Holts Summit, Mo., died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008, at St. Marys Health Center. He was born on Dec. 8, 1984, in Orlando, Fla., the son of Raymond Martin Marty and Sheryll Darlene Brinson Veltrop. Mr. Veltrop was employed as a carpenter with the Raymond Marty Veltrop Construction Company in Holts Summit, and enjoyed music, concerts, dogs, and his many friends. Survivors include his parents, Raymond Marty and Darlene Veltrop, Holts Summit; three sisters, Vicki Sanchez, Newport Richey, Fla.; and Janet Veltrop and Jessica Veltrop, both of Holts Summit; his maternal grandmother, Ruby Brinson, Lakeland, Fla.; aunts and uncles, Mary and Mike Steck, Holts Summit; Penny and Gerry Veltrop, Eugene, Mo.; and Glenn Brinson, Dennis Brinson, James Brinson, and Janet Jones, all of Lakeland, Fla.; and nieces and nephews, Michelle Rae, Holts Summit; and Dalton, Dustin, and Summer, all of Newport Richey, Fla. He was preceded in death by an uncle, Richard Lee Veltrop, Sr. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with the Rev. Msgr. Gregory L. Higley officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23rd, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Raymond Veltrop Memorial Fund.
