Raymond Joseph Lueckenotte

Raymond Joseph Lueckenotte, 81, of Jefferson City, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024, at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
He was born July 18, 1943, in Osage Bend, Missouri, the son of Louis and Anna (Sommers) Lueckenotte. Raymond was raised on the family farm where he enjoyed outdoor activities including hunting and fishing. Raymond was a graduate of Fatima High School in Westphalia.
Raymond joined the United States Army in 1962. He later served with the Missouri National Guard for over 27 years as a computer programmer, retiring as a Master Sergeant in 1989.
Raymond enjoyed listening to the St. Louis Cardinals. He was a member of the American Legion and the Fraternal Order of Eagle’s. As Raymond slowing lost his ability to see, he found ways to still absorb and retain current events and information.
Survivors include three sons, Tim (Sarah) Lueckenotte, Fulton; Randy (Kelly) Lueckenotte, Lohman; Darian (Amy) Lueckenotte, St. Peters; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; three siblings, Jerry (Jean) Lueckenotte, Centertown; Mike (Terri) Lueckenotte, Wardsville; Doris (Dan) Bax, St. Anthony; and a sister-in-law, Rose Ann Lueckenotte, Wardsville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister, Lois Ann Lueckenotte; and three brothers, Leonard (Carolyn) Lueckenotte, Marvin Lueckenotte, and Alfred Lueckenotte.
Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Trimble Funeral Homes – Jefferson City. A prayer service will be held at 6 p.m.
Burial with military honors will be in Jefferson Barracks in St. Louis, Missouri.
Memorials are suggested to the Jefferson City Chapter of the National Federation of the Blind of Missouri.
