Raymond Casper Reinkemeyer, 84, of Folk, passed away Monday, September 11, 2023, at Stonebridge Westphalia Hills.

He was born May 4, 1939, in Argyle, Missouri, the son of Bernard “Ben” Joseph and Frances Elizabeth “Ella” (Wieberg) Reinkemeyer.

Raymond served his country in the United States Army and Army Reserves.

He was united in marriage on October 16, 1965, in Argyle to Virginia Margaret Steinman who preceded him in death on June 1, 2001.

Raymond worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation for over 42 years, retiring as a Machinist.  He also enjoyed working on the family farm in Folk.

He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Folk and was a member of the Westphalia Lions Club.  He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.  Raymond was a “big man with an even bigger heart.”

Survivors include three children, Cindy (Jeff) Meldrem, Jefferson City; Darla (Paul) Baslee, Jefferson City; Darrin Reinkemeyer, Folk; six grandchildren, Courtney Meldrem, Kristen Meldrem; Caleb Reinkemeyer, Peyton Reinkemeyer, Wyatt Reinkemeyer, Eli Reinkemeyer; 6 great-grandchildren; three siblings, William “Bill” (Anna Marie) Reinkemeyer, Jefferson City; Felix (Sandy) Reinkemeyer, Taos; Marita (Daniel) Wansing, Dixon; and a sister-in-law, Betty Reinkemeyer, Argyle.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; daughter-in-law, Dionne Reinkemeyer; and two siblings, Leo Reinkemeyer and Patricia (Dennis) Weider.

Visitation will be 4:30-7 p.m. Thursday, September 14, 2023, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Folk with a prayer service at 4 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. Dylan Schrader, officiating.  Burial with military honors will follow in the parish cemetery.

Memorials are suggested in care of Raymonds children for a future benefit of the Church.
