REGINA EMELIA BISGES

Regina Emelia Bisges, 93, of Wardsville, a former resident of St. Joseph Home for the Aged in Jefferson City, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, at Villa Marie Skilled Care. She was born on Sept. 27, 1911 in Osage Bend, the daughter of Henry Anthony and Mary Elizabeth Renterghem Bode. She was married on May 12, 1936 in Osage Bend to Leo John Bisges who died on July 22, 1967. Mrs. Bisges was co-owner with her husband of the Bisges General Store in Osage Bend for thirty-two years until retiring in 1968. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Wardsville; a former member of St. Margaret of Antioch Catholic Church and choir in Osage Bend; St. Anns Sodality; Over-fifty Club; Democratic Committeewoman for Cole County; and an active leader in 4-H at Osage Bend for many years. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Mary Ann and Gerald Kaiser, Lake of the Ozarks; Bernadine and Richard Klebba, Osage Bend; and Loretta Fitzpatrick Kehr and her husband, Doug; one son and daughter-in-law, Leroy and Anna Bisges, Wardsville; fourteen grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ludvina Bisges, Wardsville. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Jean Margaret Bisges; one granddaughter, Marcia Ann Bisges; two great-grandchildren, Caleb Grothoff and Jonathan Cunningham; two brothers, Bernard Bode and Henry Bode; one sister, Cornelia Bisges; and one son-in-law, Larry Fitzpatrick. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Wardsville, with the Rev. Gregory C. Meystrik officiating, assisted by Deacon Robert Smerek. Burial will be in St. Margaret of Antioch Cemetery, Osage Bend. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Additional visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Monday at the church.
