Richard Carl Hinz, 63, of Owensville, Missouri, passed away Friday, September 20, 2024, at Capital Region Medical Center surrounded by his family.

He was born April 11, 1961, in Portland, Oregon. He was raised by his adoptive parents, Richard Iving and Patricia (Waxler) Hinz.

Richard worked for various companies throughout his career as an electrician and was a member of the Carpenters Union.

Richard was an outdoor enthusiast. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, swimming and snorkeling at the beach. He also loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his children, Shawna (Thomas) Tillotson, Kyle, TX; Ambrea (Tyler) Reyes, Columbia, MO; Richard I. (Caitlin) Hinz, Chamois, MO; Levi (Nakiya) Hinz, Rolla, MO; and five grandchildren, Daxton Tillotson, Colton Tillotson, Sofia Reyes, Audie Reyes, and Mila Reyes.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Private family service will be held at a later time on the beach.
