I am so sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. What a great spirit of giving for all the hours he gave to St Joe scouting . He helped a lot of boys turn into men with his giving. So sorry for your loss but it was our gain for having known him and how much respect he deserves for his accomplishments. Thank you for sharing him with us.
To Richard’s Family …. My name is Mary Lou Scheidt and I am a Scheidt from Frank and Elizabeth’s branch of the family. Frank and Elizabeth were my grandparents. My Dad was Tony (he died in 1978) and I had a brother named Richard. We called him Dick and he died in 1969 at age 16. It has always seemed ironic that your family had a Richard (actually two) and a Tony. We were especially close to Lulu who baby-sat us often.
Mom and I would like to extend our sympathy for the loss of your Dad. We live in California, Missouri. I have never used this online method of extending sympathy, but wanted to reach out to you during this time of letting go. From what I read in the obituary, I gather Richard has needed caregivers for some time. It isn’t easy to say “good-bye”, but when life gets too difficult for someone, we should be glad they can have the peace and reward of eternity.

Lynn, John and Tony and all your respective families: Just a quick note to say how sorry I am for your loss. It’s been many years since I last saw Richard but I have nothing but good memories about your mom and dad. They were so cute together and if there is any peace to be taken from this sad event it is the joy of thinking of them reunited once again. Peace be with them and with all of you. So sorry for your loss. We were unable to attend the visitation or funeral, but out thoughts and prayers were with you.
Deepest sympathy to everyone. Prayers are with your family. Your mom & dad were great. They both always had a smile on their face. We were out of town this week.
Lynn, John and I are saddened to learn of the death of your father. We both have fond memories of your parents. I particularly remember that your dad and mine were active in scouting together, especially in establishment of the troop at St. Joseph School. We have been blessed by the fathers we had, and on this Father’s Day I’m sure that you are full of gratitude, as I am, for this great gift. God bless you and all the family.
It’s very poignant that your father was born on the 4th of July and died on the anniversary of D-Day. John notes that he was a 1st sergeant in WWII. That’s very impressive, considering that he was so very young. May he rest in peace.

Thinking of you during this difficult time and knowing God will give you comfort and strength for tomorrow–From your friends at SSM Hospice
Sorry about the loss of your father. He was my father (Bob Scheidt)’s cousin(Erben’s) son. I have exchanged Christmas Cards with him for many years and when the one I sent this year came back I knew that he must have passed away. Lula was my aunt. Blessings always, Willilah (Scheidt) Mosbrucker, Portland,Oregon.
