I will always remember Rita fondly. Rita is my cousin. Our mothers were sisters. our family would travel to Missouri every summer to visit and after a long trip around the U.S. But when we arrived in Missouri to see our cousins, it was the highlight of our trip. I have been lucky to reconnect with Rita and her brothers and sisters through Facebook . She was such a sweetheart. She will be missed dearly.
Rita was my sister’s friend while attending Helias. Rita and my sister were seniors and I was a freshman. You can imagine that every chance I got I would cruise the Blvd with the them and had many good times. Rita was always happy to let me chum around with the two Seniors even though I was a lowly freshman. Wow so many good times. Rest in Peace Rita.
So sorry to hear of Rita’s passing. She was most definitely one of a kind. She was always a very upbeat person. I will cherish our friendship and the good times that her and I had together. I can remember when she moved into her first apartment years ago. She was definitely spoiled by her mother, for I remember her asking me to come and show her how to fry chicken, that girl loved her fried chicken legs and thighs. Through the years she would ask me to show her how to cook other things I soon realized when she wanted you to show her how to cook something what she really meant was come cook for me. She was always up for a road trip but she sure didn’t like when I would get lost. We always found our way back, honestly sometimes I would just act like I was lost just to trade her. I will definitely miss her smiles and laughter and her calling me chic. RIP my dear friend.
I met Rita at the Department of Revenue when she worked part time through the tax season. We immediately became friends. She always had a smile on her face and was always making me laugh! I will miss seeing her silly post on Facebook and I am truly blessed that I met such a sweet lady! ߙϰߙ
