Robert James Pliska, 67, of Jefferson City, formerly of Shelton, Conn., died Saturday, December 1, 2007, at St. Marys Health Center. He was born on March 23, 1940, in Bridgeport, Conn., the son of Joseph Patrick and Mary Theresa Leja Pliska. He was married on April 23, 1960, in Fairfield, Conn., to Margaret Mary Muller. She preceded him in death on July 20, 2002. Mr. Pliska was a supervisor with Northeast Utilities in Norwalk, Conn. He was a United State Navy veteran. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Shelton, Conn. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and playing golf. Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Jean Pliska, Osage Bend; four grandchildren, Shelby Pliska, Jordan Pliska, Ethan Pliska, and Zachary Pliska, all of Osage Bend, one sister and brother-in-law, Eleanor and John DePeano, Milford, Conn.; and one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and George Burke, Lawrenceville, Ga. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. Local visitation will be 6-7 p.m. Monday, December 3, 2007 at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation in Connecticut will be Thursday evening at Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, Conn., 06484. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Shelton, Conn.
