“Well done, my good and faithful servant.”
Robert Kenneth “Bobby” Logan, Jr, 77, of Seaford, Virginia passed away after a short illness on September 22, 2026.
He was born in Jefferson City, Missouri on June 15, 1949, to Robert Kenneth Logan Sr and Freddie May (Galbreath) Logan. He was married to Ruth-Anne “Hannah” (Sessions) on July 15,1983 in Barrington, New Hampshire.
As a young man he enjoyed fishing and playing football. He attended Jefferson City High School, where he was a member of the Jay Band and played on the Jays Football team. He went on to play football at Nebraska State before joining the United States Air Force.
He loved traveling while in the Air Force and during this time he served in Thailand, Germany and the Azores. He met his wife, Ruth-Anne “Hannah” while in the Air Force in Germany. In the United States he was stationed in Washington, Montana, and Arizona.
After retiring from the Air Force, he worked as a contract administrator in Civil Service.
Robert was a devout Christian. He sang in the choir, taught Sunday school and served as a Deacon at Yorktown Baptist Church. He has a room named after him there.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and playing racquetball, but more than anything he loved to play his harmonica. “Bobby” was fair, open-minded, kind, and generous. He loved to laugh (and he had a good one) and tell jokes and he could tell some stories. He seldom complained and remained in good spirits to the very end.

Bobby was such a kind man even in high school!! He took the time and energy to teach me how to run like a male in 9th grade.
I ran all the time when I traveled for work across the USA!! Rest in Peace good and faithful servant!!
Bobby, Always tease me in high school. He was so much taller than I was. I always enjoyed his deep voice in his way of thinking in high school. Rest in peace, Bobby thank you for the laughs in high school.
Well acquainted with his dad – would be so proud.
To the family & friends of Bob;
Please accept our deepest heartfelt sympathy for his passing. We enjoyed watching Bob play football long ago for the Jays. America thanks him for his brave service while serving in the U.S. Air Force. May he rest in God’s loving arms forever, Semper Fidelis
Nonetheless, I will always treasure my childhood memories of my summer visits to “Jeff City”;
Going fishing along the shore at Bagnell Dam…Spending time at my Uncle Kenneth’s cabin in the Ozarks…Walking down Lafayette Street to the creek to bow-fish after it rained…Stopping at the East End Drug Store on High Street for fountain drinks before going to the movies…Attending Bobby’s Lions Club baseball games…Shooting targets at the Lincoln University Army ROTC program indoor firing range…or just ‘hanging out’ doing boy ‘kid stuff’.
.
Many Thanks! for the memories ‘Cuz’. I will miss you.
.
Rest in Peace.
Darryl
