Robert Philip Weidinger
April 15, 1935 ~ July 31, 2018
He was born April 15, 1935, in St. Elizabeth, Missouri, the son of the late Joseph Bernard and Emma Wilhelmina (Rehagen) Weidinger.
Robert attended schools in St. Elizabeth and graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
Robert served in the United States Army from 1954-1956.
He was united in marriage on September 7, 1957, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Elizabeth to Rosana G. Doerhoff who survives at the home.
Robert worked as a long range planning engineer with the Missouri Department of Transportation for 32 years retiring in 1992.
He was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph where he served 35 years as an usher and prayed in the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament Chapel for 28 years. He was active in Marriage Encounter and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He participated with the Lincoln University Learning in Retirement program, and Tau Beta Pi and Chi Epsilon honorary engineering fraternities.
Roberts life was centered around being a faithful servant of God, a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, and a loyal friend.
Survivors include his wife, Rosana Weidinger, Jefferson City; six children, David (Brenda) Weidinger, Indianapolis, IN; Lisa (George) Simpson, Austin, TX; Linda (Mark) McMahon, Cooper, TX; Dana (Steve) Bruemmer, St. Peters, MO; Julie (James) Hentges, Jefferson City, MO; Jennifer (John) Greifzu, St. Charles, MO; 12 grandchildren, Conor McMahon, Ryan Weidinger, Henry Hentges, Elizabeth Hentges, William Hentges, Victoria Hentges, Alison Simpson, Carly Simpson, Rebecca Bruemmer, Rachel Bruemmer, Eric Greifzu, Daniel Greifzu; and two siblings, Sharon (John) Faes, Madison, GA; and Bill (Rosanna) Weidinger, Eldon, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Normalee Weidinger.
Visitation will be 9-10:45 a.m. Friday, August 3, 2018, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, August 3, 2018, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph with the Rev. Joshua Duncan officiating.
Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum.
Memorials are suggested to the St. Joseph Catholic School Foundation or to a charity of the donors choice.

Marge & Dorothy are so sorry to learn of Bob’s death. We remember what a fun day we had when Bob took us through mid-Missouri tracing all our Weidinger roots. It was such an informative day about our Mother’s family. Rosana, you and your entire family are in our thoughts and prayers.
