  27. My condolences to Sandi and family and to Bob’s siblings, Joe, Pat, and Bill. I can see from reading the tributes that Bob continued to display his great character and engaging personality through adulthood. I only knew my cousin as kids and have fond memories of summer weeks spent on their farm near Hillsboro, riding horses, playing ball, doing chores. Bob, thanks for being a big part of cherished times in those younger years.

  28. Prayers for Mr. Gartner and and the family and friends who survive him. You have our sincere condolences.

  32. We are blessed to have had the privilege of knowing Bob. He was a bright light in this world and his legacy will no doubt live on through his family.

  33. My sincere condolences to Sandi and Bobby’s family. As a youngster, I’d spend a week or two at the Hillsboro farm in the summertime. Bobby was my senior by just a year, so we were always doing things together during my time at the farm. Even as a kid you saw he had an exceptional character. He was so likeable and easy to admire. He was always even-keeled with an infectious optimism, and he was kind, generous, and had a sincere respect for everyone. He took me under his wing and showed this city slicker the ropes of life in the country. “Dave, avoid that mean old billie goat!” I last saw Bobby in 2007 at Uncle Jerry Bartinikas’ funeral. He hadn’t changed a bit.

  34. Sandi and family-so sorry for your loss. We’ve been out of town and just saw this. Know we are thinking of you and praying for your family Daryl and Mary Heet

  36. Sandi and family, I was so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. The tribute video captured many fond memories of that era in my childhood, and reminded me that we were all enriched by knowing Bob. His legacy lives on in all of you. You are all in my prayers for comfort and peace. With love, Beverly Primm Rollings and family
