Robert “Butch” Babb, 69 of Jefferson City passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at his home.

He was born December 1, 1952 in Rawlins, Wyoming. Butch grew up in Kansas City and achieved an Associate Degree in Elementary Education. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Airforce. On November 18, 1987 Butch married Marjorie Cully in Jefferson City. They made their home in Jefferson City adopting and raising seven children; Mark, Daniel, Carolyn Gerard, Josh, Nancy and David.

Butch was a gifted musician. He had a beautiful voice and loved playing the drums. In his younger years, Butch played in several bands. He enjoyed listening to Jazz, but Gospel music was his favorite.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie of Jefferson City, four children, Mark Babb of Jefferson City, Daniel (Tammie) Babb of St. Louis, Carolyn Boyd of Oregon and Gerard Draffen of California, one sister, Ruth Sharpe of Kansas City, one nephew, Kyle Babb of Kansas City and many cousins. Butch was preceded in death by his parents and three children, Josh, Nancy and David.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Dulle Trimble Funeral Home, 3210 North Ten Mile Dr. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Masonic Cemetery, Tipton with Reverend Marion Mitchell officiating.
