Robert “Spike” Dale Tripp, 47, of Russellville, departed this life on Tuesday, October 3, 2023.

He was born August 27, 1976, in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Dale and Rebecca (Cowin) Tripp.

On December 23, 2006, he was united in marriage to Maricel Cañon Doligol in Garwood, Missouri.

Spike worked for the Missouri Department of Corrections as an officer and was currently employed with the Missouri Department of Labor as an IT Programmer for the past 12 years.

Spike has resided in Van Buren, Missouri until adulthood when he moved around Missouri until making Russellville his home for the past 10 years.  He loved life and his family more than anything.  He was a man of many hobbies including woodworking, fishing, home improvements, video gaming, and he was an avid movie watcher.  He loved to travel the world and experience new things.  Above all, he prioritized his family, children, and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Maricel Tripp, Russellville; three daughters, Alexis Fjora, Van Buren, MO; Heaven (Hunter) Gordon, Fremont, MO; Angel (Jeremiah) Dea, Ellington, MO; one son, Mark Tripp, Russellville; his mother, Rebecca Tripp-Keeney, Ellington, MO; a sister, Nicole (Ricky) Whitehead, Ellington, MO; two grandchildren, Harrison Gordon and Paislee Dea; and many relatives and friends that mourn his passing.

Spike was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Mike Tripp.

Visitation will be 4-6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, 2023, at Trimble Funeral Homes – Russellville. 

Additional visitation will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the McSpadden Funeral Home - Van Buren, Missouri.  A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m.  He will be laid to rest with his dad and brother at the Van Buren Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
