Rose Ann Meller, 81, of Lohman, Mo., died Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, at Westphalia Retirement Center, Westphalia, Mo. She was born on Sept. 16, 1926, in Westphalia, the daughter of Charles Peter and Catherine Mary Wansing Henke. She was married on June 2, 1978, at Redemptorist Catholic Church in Kansas City, Mo., to Charles Henry Meller who survives at the home. Mrs. Meller was employed for twenty-seven years as a telephone operator for the former Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church and the Legion of Mary. Other survivors include two step-sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Elaine Meller, Lohman; and Brian and Rhonda Meller, Lohman, Mo.; one step-daughter and son-in-law, Jayne and Alan Bennett, Hartsburg, Mo.; seven step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mary Loehner, Westphalia; Golda Kastrup, St. Louis, Mo.; and Wilma Mengwasser, Jefferson City. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Carl Henke and Leo Henke. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2008, at St. Martin Catholic Church with the Rev. Edwin A. Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Westphalia.
