Rosie Elizabeth Redel
May 5, 1927 ~ December 21, 2019
She was born May 5, 1927, in Westphalia, Missouri, the daughter of the late Joseph and Katie (Baumhoer) Fechtel.
She was united in marriage in November of 1951, in Westphalia to Paul George Redel who preceded her in death on March 6, 1999.
Rosie worked for Walz Interiors, Crocker Interiors, and Patsy Cramer Interiors as a seamstress and drapery maker. She was a loving homemaker who had a life-long love of quilt making.
She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Wardsville, the Ladies Sodality, and the Wardsville Quilting Club. She also loved to play cards with friends.
Survivors include two sons, Bob (Kathie) Redel, Jefferson City; Gerry Redel (Sylvia King), South Lyon, Michigan; seven grandchildren, Derek Redel, Ryan Redel, Allison Boggs, Lance Redel, Brad Redel, Aaron Jolly, David Jolly; four great-grandchildren, Ashton Stratman, Luke Jolly, Zella Redel, Lily Jolly; one sister, Agatha Haselhorst, Taos; and one sister-in-law, Rosemary Fechtel, Westphalia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Redel; two sons, Donald Redel and William Redel; and a brother, Herbert Fechtel.
Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Monday, December 23, 2019, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Wardsville.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with the Rev. I.C. Medina officiating.
Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
