She was born in Wardsville to Bernard "Ben" Prenger and Dorothea Schwaller Prenger. She was married on April 20, 1927 in Wardsville to Harold William Schrimpf who died on March 10, 1942. Survivors include one son, William Joseph Schrimpf, Jefferson City; two daughters, Mary Kathleen "Katie" McCann and Patricia Ruth Zalken, both of Jefferson City; eleven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; twnety-seven great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; one brother, George Prenger, Jefferson City; and one sister, Alline Utyro, Superior, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Prenger; and eight sisters, Helen VanLoo, Lavinia Prenger, Marie VanLoo, Leona Markway, Lucille Landwehr, Irene Kliethermes, Anastasia Barnhouse, and Amelia Basham. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; Daughters of Isabella; St. Ann's Sodality; and the Immaculata Club. Memorials are suggested to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1206 E. McCarty Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101; or Helias Foundation, 1305 Swifts Highway, Jefferson City, MO 65109. She was employed for many years with International Shoe Factory; Oberman Pants Factory; Tweedy Shoe Factory; and St. Marys Hospital.
