Stephen Charles Roggy, 59, of Linn, MO, died Sunday, February 3, 2008, at St. Marys Health Center. He was born on June 23, 1948, in Peoria, IL, the son of Gerald A. and Mary Ellen Roberts Roggy. He was united in marriage on October 5, 2004, in Williamston, SC, to Brenda Kay OBrien who survives at the home. Stephen was a high school graduate of Manuel High School in Peoria, Il. He also received two Associate of Arts degrees and a Masters degree. He was a professor at the Greenville Technology College in Greenville, South Carolina. Mr. Roggy was a Unites States Navy veteran. Other survivors include: one son, William Gerald Roggy; one daughter, Kimberley Ann Roggy, both of Greenville, SC; two step sons, Michael Hummel, Cedar Hill, MO; Carl Neaveill, Pascagoula, MS; two step daughters, Charlean Stockton, Gerald, MO; Torri Eisterhold, Rich Fountain; four grandchildren, Jessica Roggy; Alyssa Roggy; Arianna Lansing; Brody Lansing; 17 step grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; one brother, Robert Roggy, Morton, Il.; and one sister, Penny Cychosz, Machesney Park, Il. He was preceded in death by his mother and one son, Stephen Matthew Roggy. Private family services will be held. Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
