Susie A. Weatherford, 69, of Jefferson City, Missouri, died Friday, June 24, 2016, at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on August 3, 1946, in Little Rock, Arkansas, the daughter of the late James Julian and Mary Inez (Roberts) Weatherford. She loved to do genealogy, crafts and was a dedicated volunteer and past board member for the Arkansas Council of the Blind in Springdale, Arkansas. Survivors include her son, James Lee (Joyce) Rettstatt, Jefferson City; a granddaughter, Loriann Marie Rettstatt, Jefferson City; five sisters, Charlene Cargile, Bee Branch, AR; May Capps, England, AR; Fay Bottoms, Jefferson City; Sharon Huffmaster, Sherwood, AR; Marie Weatherford, Mesquite, TX; two brothers, Buddy (Debbie) Courtney, Perry, AR; Arthur (Nancy) Weatherford, Roland, AR; and a sister-in-law, Vickey Weatherford, Roland, AR. She was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth "Cricket" Courtney and a brother, Frankie Weatherford. A memorial service will be held at Lakewood United Methodist Church in Little Rock, AR at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Arkansas Council of the Blind, 1937 South Custer Lane, % Rachel Ames, Treasurer, Fayetteville, Arkansas 72701.   1. I am so saddened by this loss. Your mother was such a sweet, kind, hard-working lady. I enjoyed seeing her almost everyday when I worked in the Employment Security building. She will be dearly missed. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. May God give you peace and comfort as you celebrate her life and mourn her loss.
