He was born in Jefferson City to Leroy Anton Buschjost and Betty Jean Siebeneck Buschjost who survive in Wardsville. He was married on August 20, 1991 in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, to Patricia "Patti" Parmenter who survives at the home. Other survivors include one son, Karsen Bret Buschjost, at home; three brothers, Dennis Buschjost, Jefferson City; Gregory Buschjost, California; and Mitchell Buschjost, Wardsville; his maternal grandmother, Catherine Siebeneck, Wardsville; and five nieces, Brandie Buschjost, Kelli Buschjost, Megan Buschjost, Hayley Buschjost, and Lindsey Hammond. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Wardsville. Memorials are suggested to the Karsen Buschjost Educational Fund, c/o Home State Bank, 2695 W. Eisenhower, Loveland, CO 80538. He graduated from Blair Oaks High School and was certified in Carpentry by Nichols Career Center. He was a union carpenter for over twenty-five years out of Carpenter's Local No. 510.
