Thelbert Clarence Smith, 58, of Jefferson City, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007, at his residence. He was born on Jan. 20, 1949, in Jefferson City, the son of EThelbert and Dorothy Olivia Reynolds Smith. He was a 1967 graduate of Lincoln Lab High School and attended Lincoln University. Mr. Smith was employed for many years in the housekeeping department at Tan Tara Resort and more than twenty-years at the Missouri State Capitol. A member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, Mr. Smith enjoyed his many friends and family members. He is survived by two sisters and one brother-in-law, Betty M. Littlejohn, Jefferson City; and Olivia A. and Glenn Smith, Grandview, Mo.; three brothers and one sister-in-law, William R. and Karen Smith, Apple Valley, Calif.; and Melvin R. Smith and Howard F. Smith, both of Jefferson City; nieces; nephews; and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with Ameir Smith and the Rev. Marcus Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until time of the service on Thursday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Jefferson City Community Center, 608 E.
