Virginia Elizabeth Luebbert, 79, of Jefferson City, died Sunday, April 5, 2009, at Golden Living Center. She was born on Oct. 4, 1929, in Jefferson City, the daughter of Peter Joseph and Lilliah Victoria Burks Hartman. She was a 1948 graduate of St. Peter High School. Virginia was united in marriage on August 10, 1948, in Jefferson City to Leonard Herman Luebbert who survives at the home. A homemaker all her life, she was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Other survivors include: three daughters and sons-in-law, Helen and Larry Close, Gladstone, Mo; Lois and Steve Charsha, Independence, Mo; Jean and Brian Tate, California, Mo; eight grandchildren, Eric Hart; Sean Wyatt; Kristie Wyatt; Billy Metz; Rick Metz; Andy Metz; Bobby Metz; Zach Tate; three great-grandchildren, Cire Hart; Will Metz; Declan Tate; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Mary and Dewey McClean, Virginia; Dorothy Jackson, Russellville; Helen Prey; Jefferson City; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, James Hartman, Jefferson City; Jerry Hartman, Holts Summit; Simon Pete and Lillian Hartman, Centertown; Charles and Carol Hartman, Jefferson City; and Ethel Hartman, Jefferson City. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Lucy Luebbering, Anna Call; and one brother, John Hartman, Sr. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Patrick G. Dolan officiating. Emtombment will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum.
