So sorry for the family’s loss of Walt, I have such found memories of him when I was a child and we would come to visit in Jeff City. I’m so thankful for the time we got to visit at Aunt Mary’s 90th birthday party.
Condolences to the family; Walt was a good friend and will be greatly missed. God Bless Walter Ordway, may he rest in peace, he will serve our lord well.
Oh,.my. I’m so sorry! There is no good time to lose someone. It is painful, always. Stay strong, take a deep breath and receive the prayers from friends. Sending ours for sure!
Tim, Kevin, Dan, Mike, Marc, and Walt were great mentors to me during the nuclear power plant days of my 20s. I can’t say I ever had a bad moment when working with Walt. He always kept things in perspective for me when I lost my focus and kept working entertaining. I am very sad to hear of his passing and my condolences to his family.
Walt was a great friend and coworker he will be missed by all. I have many great memories on jobs working with Walt. I remember 1 time we went out to eat after work one night and Walt forgot his wallet no biggey I got the tab. The next night we did the same thing and Walt forgot his wallet again I really had fun rubbing him about that. We had a good laugh.
very sorry to hear of his passing, Walt was a great friend and co-worker. Always entertaining and always in a jolly mood, could see the silver lining no matter how dark the cloud was looming over our heads. Thanks for the memories Walter.
Deepest sympathies to Walt’s family. Our son enjoyed playing softball on his Special Olympics Team. He was a very patient and caring man who brought the love of the game to his athletes. His presence will be sadly missed.
Thinking of you Christine and the boys
My sympathies to Walt’s family, and his brothers – all of whom I think I met playing fast pitch softball. We joked that we could have our own all Ordway-Pleus team! We brought Walt to the state tournament at Springfield, and he made me laugh the whole time and was such a team guy. I still use Walt’s phrase all the time at ballgames. When someone would make a smart play, Walt would say “Good IdeaL, Good IdeaL!”. He always added the “L” after “idea”. It still makes me smile.
Our condolences to Walt’s family, brothers and sisters during this sad time, Marilyn and I new Walt his mom, dad, brothers and sisters. Worked and played fast pitch soft ball with Walt. Very fine man. Always had that great smile and If you ever needed his help he would just say when and where. I don’t believe Walt ever met a stranger.Rest in peace my friend.
Just learned of Walt’s passing … So surprised & very sorry to hear the news … Our condolences, thoughts & prayers to his family … Always a friend w/ both ‘wit & smile’ ,,, whether it be for a co-worker, teammate or competitor; & fun to be around @ work & ‘on-or-off’ the ball field … He seemed to keep his ‘composure & perspective’ based on his ‘common-sense’ ,,, & he is sure to be missed …
