William Herbert Scheuler, 79, of Jefferson City, died Wednesday, October 15, 2008, at St. Marys Health Center. He was born on March 17, 1929, in Jefferson City, the son of Leo and Matilda Kroll Scheuler. He was united in marriage on July 9, 1954, in Jefferson City, to Virginia Mae Howard. She preceded him in death on August 22, 2007. William was a United States Army veteran. He worked as an Union Teamster truck driver for various companies and retired from Interstate Bread Co. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Survivors include: one son, Tony L. Howard, Jefferson City; one granddaughter, Jessie Sue Howard; two great-grandchildren, Haleigh Brown; Skyler Rackers; one sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Louise Markway, Wardsville; and two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Larry and Linda Scheuler, Lake Ozark; Leo and Mary Scheuler, Mexico; and Deloris Scheuler, Jefferson City. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; five sisters, Rosalee Field; Joann Harding; Mary Raithel; Leona Raithel; Florence Lock; and three brothers, Tom Scheuler; Raymond Scheuler; and Ronnie Scheuler. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, October 20, 2008, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with the Rev. Benjamin Nwosu officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
