William Lee Scott, 82, of Jefferson City, died Saturday, December 23, 2006, at Capital Region Medical Center. He was born on Nov. 2, 1924, in Jefferson City, the son of John Lisbon and Ethelene Mary Blume Scott. He was married on Oct. 5, 1946, in Jefferson City to Susan Elizabeth Hantakas who survives at the home. A 1943 graduate of St. Peter High School, Mr. Scott was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II serving with bomb disposal units. He was a journeyman electrician with Fisher Electric and Howerton Electric before retiring as Chief of Operations with the Missouri House of Representatives where he served for thirty-two years. He was a member of St. Joseph Cathedral; International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers; American Legion Post 5; Roy Sone Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1003; and was a trombonist with the Capitol Kicks Band. He especially enjoyed model railroading. Other survivors include two sons and their wives, William and Deborah Scott, Louisville, KY; and Steven and Gale Scott, Santee, CA; one daughter and her husband, Mary Scott and Melton Doc Myers, Dallas, TX; four grandchildren, Andrew Scott, Allison Meenach, Corey Scott, and Nicholas Scott; one brother, Richard Scott, Jefferson City; and one sister-in-law, Bette Scott, Jefferson City. He was preceded in death by one son, John Peter Scott; one sister, Ruth Lenore Scott; and two brothers, John Harold Scott and Edward Anthony Scott. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas E. McGrath officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Vogelweid Learning Center, 216 Broadway, Jefferson City, MO 65101.
