He was born in Calvert County, Maryland to Guy Wilmer Elliott and Helen Eileen Sewell Elliott. He was married to Marjorie T. Dieckriede who died on March 10, 1993. He was married to Lula Ann Hinshaw who died on November 13, 1998. Survivors include one son, Kenneth Elliott, Jefferson City; two daughters, Kathryn Elliott and Karen Elliott, both of Jefferson City; one step-daugher, Betty Smallwood, Hartsburg; grandchildren, Amy Elliott and Kenneth Joseph Elliott; step-grandchildren, Donald Smallwood, Michael Smallwood, Stanley Smallwood, Donna Turpin, Vicky Jarrel, Dora Ann Calvin, Sandra Carlos, and Cindy Sessler; three brothers, Joseph Elliott and Gordon Elliott, both of Calvert County, Maryland; and Glen Elliott, Pasadena Maryland; and four sisters, Naomi Woomer and June Grover, both of Calvert County, Maryland; Joyce Godwin, Harker Heights, Texas; and Ramona Mulligan, Pasadena, Maryland. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Kevin Elliott; two brothers, John Elliott and Harvey Elliott; and a sister, Delores Dowell. He was employed with St. Marys Hospital for more than twenty years until his retirement in 1980. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, 2932 Mohawk, Jefferson City, MO 65101; or to the Carmelite Monastery, 2201 W. Main Street, Jefferson City, MO 65109. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II from June of 1944 until July of 1945, serving in Normandy in Northern France and in the Rhineland in Central Europe.
