Sandra Sue Clink, 82, of Lohman, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Jefferson City Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

She was born November 24, 1942, in Kewanee, Illinois, the daughter of Peter Polfliet and Arlene (DeValkenaere) Henkins.

She was united in marriage on June 9, 1963, in Kewanee, IL to Douglas Leroy Clink who survives at the home.

Sandy began working for a telephone company and later as a church secretary at Fellowship Baptist Church in Marshalltown, Iowa. After moving to Missouri, she taught at Heritage Christian Academy in Moberly. Sandy then worked for the Missouri Department of Conservation which led her to her long career associated with the Credit Union industry. She started with the Conservation Department Credit Union and later with the Missouri Electric Coop Credit Union. Her friendly, member-focused attention guided her to eventually become the President of both credit unions. Following retirement from the credit unions, Sandy was a real estate agent.

She was a member of Concord Baptist Church, served as a Sunday School teacher, and was a long-time volunteer with Wolfner Talking Book and Braille Library.

Survivors include her husband, Doug Clink, Lohman; three children, Timothy (Debra) Clink, Russellville; Kurt (Dianne) Clink, Scottsdale, AZ; Anne (Troy) Ash, New Bloomfield; five grandchildren, Nathan (Ashley) Clink, Kristin (David) Kissock, Nicholas Pierson, Kaitlyn Clink, Jacquelyn Clink; and three great-grandchildren, Callie Clink, Owen Clink, Aubrey Clink, with one more on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Larry Henkins; and two sisters, Patricia Grant and Shirley Luark-Barbee.

Visitation will be 11:30-1 p.m. Monday, February 17, 2025, at Trimble Funeral Homes – Jefferson City. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Bro. Jason Goodman officiating.

Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.

Memorials are suggested to Bible Baptist Church or to Concord Baptist Church.

  4. My Mimi was one of the most selfless and kind people I’ve ever known. I am so incredibly grateful for every trip to the conservation, meal at the table, coffee and toast in the morning, every Christmas dinner, every walk in the woods or up the street to where the flowers bloom in the summer, and every other wonderful moment I got to spend with her. I will miss my grandma so much but I am grateful that she is now with our Heavenly Father, where she can see again and be fully joyful. I take comfort in knowing you are with our Great Creator and forever watching over all of us with bright shining eyes that see the beauty of heaven.
